Drive Clicking Alternative Fix (Variation on Cable tie)
« on: 30, July, 2011 - 20:02:16 »
Today on another c5 I had the clicking of death.

Very bad design - The fence is way to thin and should have been set back towards the gears.

Anyway two small holes later.

On the next c5 i think i will put a bolt through the fence perfectly horizontal so the fence can be adjusted.

A better solution is to get a aluminum block formed to fit under the gearbox.

Looks like a good variation of the theme  8)

Anything that improves the original poor design has to be a good thing  :).
