that looks sweet dude. what manufacturer is cobolt blue? looks similar to bmw estoril blue? the m3's look huge! bout a set of dtm's? Im painting project x in mazda 27a velocity red like on the rx8's real nice deep xeralic pearl. Are they frizbys on the wheels? are you a fellow painter?
-
The cobalt blue is a toyota colour just picked it out of some colour cards,no im not a painter but my work has a booth for spraying furniture so i used that and next door to my work is a body shop so i got all the paint from there.
the guy who sprays the furniture gave me a hand as well coz he used to paint cars.
the red should look cool youll have to post some pics when finished
no there not frisbys, but they do the job just now.

That's incredible, it looks too good to use. you must be proud of it

Yeh it does seem a bit to good to use,but i didnt do it to be an ornament either so ill take it out on the good weather occassions, which are quite rare though LOL.
Yeh im proud to get another sinclair c5 back on the road and out of the scrap yard.

Any chance of giving more details on the wheels? ive not abandond my project, a house move and no workshop has slowed things down, i am interested in the construction, what have you done and what original bits have you utilised?
-
I still have the original wheels on those were just caps made by me from other parts,a bit of recycling. The discs themselves are a rotating TV stand split into 2 sections, the aluminium centres are from the bottom of flower pots and the studs are actually rugby boot studs, all the parts scavanged from car boot sales, saved the money for other parts.
I havent done anything with the front wheel yet,ill either put on aluminium discs onto the original wheel, like a harley davidson solid wheel or ive heard members on here recently talking about the spoked E scooter wheels which would look pretty cool, might try to get one of those.
