Adam was there and was selling goodies at a very nice discount
As for the rest of the day,it was superb - but also we have now literally made history.
I am told that "challenger" (the hill climb project c5) , which made it up Test Hill, is officially the
FIRST electric vehicle to do so
It is also the first vehicle to be specifically built to tackle Test Hill since the Second World War , so we have seen history being made.
"challenger" also took part in the sprint time trial and managed 31mph over the 200m from a standing start. Given that it is geared for getting up Test Hill and not speed on the flat ,I thought it managed a very respectable time. If we alter the gearing it will go faster in a flat sprint.
As always a very big thank you to the Brooklands staff, especially Donna and Bob, for helping us with the "challenger" test runs and also inviting C5alive to this event. Donna sorted the free tickets for us, so an extra big hug for her
And lastly, thank you to everyone who took the time and trouble to come along and join in - Angie and I try out best to keep the events interesting and enjoyable. Seeing the level of support enjoyed by "c5alive" is what makes it worthwhile.
Now that the "Oscars" style thankyou speech is over, here are some piccies
...I think the understatement of the day comes from Adam Harper referring to Dave who sorted "challenger" ;
"...that Dave is an interesting guy.."
