Title: POD Problems
Post by: dansretropod on 17, February, 2013 - 17:18:05
Hi All,

I'm trying to get a C5 back to working order, but am having problems with the POD which I know is a source of a lot of problems among C5 owners ;)

When I first powered it up all the LEDs briefly came on and then went off.  Subsequently turning if off and then on and I get nothing from the POD.  When I opened it up and looked at the circuit board R21 is completely burnt out :(  Changing the resistor isn't a problem, I have spares lying around, I just wondered why it would burn out?  I wonder if there is a problem elsewhere, in the control box maybe?  Are there known problems with R21?

Thanks!

Dan

Hi there I think R21 is on the power side that feeds the LEDs and it may just be a surge that blew it ...R21 seems to be a problem .
Just replace it and take it from there ..

Hi Chas,

Thanks for that, I removed it, gave the contact pins a clean and it works fine now :)

Thanks!
