Title: Halfords HB063 car battery
Post by: Karl on 26, March, 2009 - 11:20:58
I've recently started using these to replace my tired "Drivemaster" batteries

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_264227_langId_-1_categoryId_165762

So far they've been used on the Shoreham run and were excellent.

I'll let you know how I get on.

A short update - I purchased two of these and used them as a pair on Voodoo (24v conversion).

After two years one of the batteries is starting to fail. The other still has lots of life in it.

Hi I have just got the Bosch S5 version 063 (same size as the Halfords one but is 52AHr and 5years guarantee and my car dealer friend got it for me @ £70) so hope it will be better than my 85AHr Leisure battery that only did 3 miles.
