Just a little taster ;

...not saying too much at this stage  :-X

Taking shape nicely though , already up and running - just some final testing and tweaking before tackling the cosmetics.

Looks like you will be able to go on the skid pan at Brooklands with that Karl, how long before you can reveal all

HEY MY TYRES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karl

I want to have this C5 fully completed for the next Brooklands meeting in September  :).

Although it is up and running, there are still a few things to sort out  ;).Still debating what colour to go for - its going to have a paintjob !

The tyres are only temporary while we are working on it , and waiting for Schwalbe to make some more "cityjets"  ::)

It is going to Brooklands Wednesday for some testing  8)

Still haven't decided on mine  ???

At Brooklands will you be like those new car tests: Strictly no cameras allowed  :D

What are you up too Karl ?

The project C5 is being built with the focus on getting up Brooklands Test Hill without the need to pedal, but still using battery electric power. Fitting a petrol engine seemed pointless as I wanted to keep within the ethos of the C5 design.

Just come back from some testing at Brooklands today where we had some encouraging results  8).

We are aiming to have the C5 properly configured for a "full monty" attempt at the September Brooklands event.

Could be a chance to get into the record books, as Brooklands have no knowledge of an electric powered vehicle challenging the Test Hill   :)

Sounds good Karl - we have to come and see this - I had enough trouble walking up the test hill !!!! :)

Retro Andy

If it goes well, ill bring mine to the workshop for the nessesary upgrades, anyway i,m getting to the top of the hill this year, i'm just waiting for the bionical legs to turn up that i have ordered from the british army  ;D.

Project C5 is already providing some useful ideas to help improve standard C5's  :-X. Once the Test Hill challenge is completed, we are going to try some other stuff out over the winter.

Retro Andy

I can't wait too see this at Brooklands, roll on September.

Another little update from today's test session at Brooklands...

Not bad for a C5 that has been built from a scrapped shell....

It is very close to completion now, just a few small bits and pieces to sort.

But you will have to wait until September to see just how quick it is and whether it gets up the hill or not   :-X 8)
