Hi - If you look up under the shell past the front wheel you will see two plastic tabs (part of the light) - You will have to  reach up and gently push them together and the light will come out from the front of the shell - be careful they sometimes brake - Marty

Well I just lift the black box thing out behind the light, then I just pull the light out of the hole. By the way I am not experienced Marty is probably right

That's right if you mean the lenses

With front light units being so rare, and getting brittle with age, I find a combination of the advice given by Luke and radioMarty works best.

Remove the bulb holder first , then reach under the nose of the c5 and gently squeeze the retaining lugs together to remove the light unit.

As radioMarty says, be careful as the lugs tend to snap off..

  • 4 legs may be better than 2 but 3 wheels better then anything!

Mine broke trying to remove the bulb.
The rubber shroud on the loom was and still is stuck fast to the lamp unit.
I will carefully pick away the shroud and glue back the lamp unit as it has broken cleanly, but has an edge that I can glue too.

Hi there when removing the Front lens by gently squeezing the lugs together you find that  the bulb holder is tight rather than try to pull it off and maybe break the lens just cut the wires .They can always be joined back later ..But be careful .When you are ready to put it back put some grease on the lugs it will make it easier to insert ..
