Cable routing
« on: 04, March, 2013 - 21:02:20 »
Hi Everyone,
Well Clive is finished ..ALMOST ...only one hiccup to sort out and that's cable routing on the handlebars.I can't quite figure out how the cables track along the 'bars and turn/twist  down through the rubber grommet without kinking or fowling the steering mech. Everything i have tried so far results in the cables wrapping around the steerer tube !! SO ... can someone post a pic of their 'bars with the sponge covered removed so i can get some tips ..Thanks

I've never really had a problem with that, I've got the rear cable looped around the front of the stem, running (cable tied) along the top of the chassis, just going to the brake. The front loops around the back of the stem and runs along the top of the chassis. I'll try uploading a photo when I get time, but I find that a couple of cable ties stop them snagging the chain :-)
