« on: 25, February, 2012 - 08:37:50 »
While checking out my C5 i noticed i only had one clip holding on the gearbox. So before that broke, it had signs that is was getting weak i came up with this idea that I have now finished. Test drive today hopefully ;D

This involved a lot of filing :P luckily it was -10 outside so it kept me warn  8)

Not sure if a top bodge or improvise, adapt & overcome !

..it seems to be doing the job , so probably qualifies as improvise, adapt and overcome rather than just bodging.

The difference between a bodge and some improvising is a bit subjective...bit like Top Gears "cool wall", the rules may vary at any time  ;D

This would be any easy item to have "printed" in plastic.

Looks like a good example of improvise, adapt & overcome. Let us know how you get on with it!

Very simple I would say - we have some good rapid prototypes in Bristol if anyone wants to make up a 3d model

PS - the topic title had me worried for a sec - I thought you had a bottom problem!

;D I copied from booboo thread as i thought it was quiet funny.

I went out for its first run Saturday afternoon. I did 3 miles with no problems, just see how long it lasts. I think it should be OK and only cost a couple of quid.
