Hi all ,
Picked up my 2nd C5 last night so there's another saved from the scrap heap.
It's been painted black unfortunately and i was wondering if any of you had any experience of removing paint from the C5's body ?
The paint has been put on a little to thickly and it's started to crack very slightly around flexible areas.I could live with it but to "put it right" would mean a complete respray, any ideas??
Too cold to spend much time outside at the moment but first impression are the electrics have been "got at".
The top of the control box is open, the yellow and black wires have been cut and there is a wire soldered to the diode in the top right hand corner of the box !!! Any ideas what he may have been up to ??
Also i wanted to post some pics but i don't seem to be allowed to do so ..how do i do it ??

The first c5 I ever bought was painted black so I used paint stripper to get it of then I painted it white using an aerosol

Paint stripper ! ! ! Didn't the acid in the paint stripper damage the plastic ??
