Beep Beep Beep

Took the C5 out for a quick spin this weekend - it's the furthest I've ever taken it (20 mins around the village!) and it was GREAT fun!   ;)

Anyway, I noticed that after about 10 mins it started to beep at me - I guess from overheating?  It was a HOOOTTT day (29 degrees C) and I was taking the C5 up a lot of hilly ground.  Does the C5 beep when it's approaching a non-workable temperature?  It still ran fine, just beepy!! LOL!

Yes.

The beep is triggered by the heat sensor in the black cone on the end of motor.

You can unplug this sensor and your c5 will function with only the thermal cut out on side of motor for protection.

It was a very hot weekend we where testing a 24v system. :D

Okay thanks Martin, I'm happy with the audible warning - at least that way I know I should pedal more often LOL!  ;D

Really enjoyed that short trip this weekend, lots of interest as expected from passers by! Had my little boy ("sit on the handlebars and hold on tight" LOL) with me too, he was loving it!!
