Hi all as you will see from the photo I have just had the 4 gear insert made again as one of the posts was out a little out on the first one about 0.2mm so we re measured it and now it's looking good it,s been on test and runs very smooth but I will keep testing it until I am sure it's working as it should ...
It should be ready by next week ....Bye Chas

Hi Chas,
I am a C5 newbie and looking to upgrade my 12v to 24v. I'm assuming I need a more robust gearbox for that - how is the metal gearbox mod coming along and is it what I need? When do you think it will be available for sale?
-
not trying to be stupid. but why four cogs?

Extra strength, especially when running on 24V ;D
-
Hi as Dan said 4 cogs give more strength ...But I have decided to only make the inserts with 3 cogs ......
-
Hi all.
I remember seeing some where that the plastic cogs were also changed by Adam Harper (I think) as part of his 24v mods.
