Getting some conflicting reports about this - wasnt this the guy that bought segway uk and not the guy that "invented" it?

..saw some of the initial new reports that suggested it might have been "self inflicted", todays papers are all reporting it as a tragic accident.

Very sad either way, he seems to have been quite an inspirational guy - and did a lot to look after the injured service personnel.

He is certainly going to be missed.

I think he bought the company, and was riding a new concept at the time, but did'nt invent the original.

clever man,

a tragedy for the family whatever the cause, but at least they can be truly proud of his memory. his designs saved countless British soldiers lives and their families from the same tragedy.

possibly his invention was the soldiers parachute for saving lives.
