Topic: Karl & C5martin go for a Bike Ride!

Martin and I were at my place servicing a c5 for someone , so Derek from the BVS ( http://batteryvehiclesociety.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1108&highlight=derek+manly&sid=cec9eb7b30263d2fef74eb56e04c8d57 )popped over to meet us and share some ideas. He also owns a recently acquired C5 which he wanted us to have a look at as well.

He brought along his homemade electric bike, fitted with a Lynch motor

When you consider that these motors can be found powering all sorts of electric vehicles including motorcycles and Cityel trikes,it gives you some idea of the power this thing has 

It might look a bit heath Robinson, but its got enough oomph to power wheelie on the move - quite scary, but a lot of fun 

Derek has an enthusiasm for electric bikes and is tempted to try out some ideas on his C5...should prove interesting
