Title: Drive cog sprag bearing
Post by: ScubaChris on 17, May, 2011 - 12:25:13
Hi all,

I was just wondering what the availability is like for replacement sprag (one way) bearings of the type found in the centre of the main drive cog? I've posted a picture below to show the one I mean. I have a couple already but both are missing a roller and it would be good to find a replacement. I'm assuming these are hard to come by now?

Sprag bearing:

I don't mean the other one which is a simple 2-way roller bearing and sits inside the motor mount as these seem much easier to find:

Cheers,

They are the German INA brand HFL 2026 , about £14. + vat + delivery ............
........ OR , £10 delivered from me  ;D new in sealed pack.
The original were the INA, the one you pictured with the red sleeve is the cheap Chinese replacement.

Marra - if you have enough of these , you're welcome to place an advert in the market place section .I'll expect I'll be needing a few of these myself when I get round to restoring a few more c5's  ;)
