whoa...that was a soggy one
I dont think it stopped raining from Saturday lunchtime all the way through to when we finally gave up and packed everything away ready to leave at 1pm Sunday
The clean up operation will continue for a few days yet
A real shame because I know the guys that run this event only just make a profit when the weather is ok, so when it is as grim as it was this weekend I can only assume they ran it at a loss. There were large gaps in the displays where exhibitors chose to stay away (cant say I blame them !) and so very few paying guests. The rain was relentless
We made the best of it though and had a marvellous BBQ inside the gazebos
with Scott showing his superb master chef skills. We were all very well fed before venturing off into the beer tent . Which is probably why none of us were able to drink too many pints... no room left
A big thank you to Scott, Les , Tony , Max and Steve for coming along to help out with our soggy display. Everything will hopefully be dried out and cleaned up in time for Brooklands
