Bike computer

Right, so I bought this cheapy bike computer from sainsburys.

Can't really see where I can fit it to one of the rear wheels....

Any tips? I need to mount the magnet and the sensor and then run the wire to the computer somewhere. I think a few people on here have done one before, so lets hear the secrets!

I think i remember seeing C5 martin had one on the back wheel, the magnet was glued to the metal bit thats on the rear brake drum , and the  sensor was fixed to the bar that runs round the rear seat.

There were some pics of it on Martins site, but i can't see them now.

Ah brilliant, I was looking for somewhere on the motor side.

Chas, i've just rana test doing almost identical setup to you have there, and it works a treat

however, now that I have propped the rear wheel up, it appears 'Dave' needs some new bearings (or the nut has been overtightened)..

Only had a chance for a quick look. The wheel definitely doesnt free-wheel too good

..might be worth investigating the rear brake adjustedment as well , getting it to freewheel nice and smoothly is critical for good battery range.
