Boot removal

(1/2) > >>

c5martin:
Examine underneath rear of rear wheels and you will see (on some C5's) a boot retaining clip on each of the pivot points for the boot.
Unclip these
Pull sides of C5 slightly apart and the boot will pop out
Re-fitting is the reverse of this - ensure the inner liner is inserted before the pivot points

Kurt:
Or get Karl to drive it as his boot always keeps falling off !   ;D

aahhh yes, but that was before I made some boot clips.

Even when I trashed the wheel at Brooklands, note that the boot remained in situ  ;D

..quite a road test if I say so myself  8)

Kurt:
That is very true and credit where credit is due the boot did stay on.

Mind you it was funny on that Crawley run, every time I went to overtake you, to find your boot flying back at me. Almost like a James Bond gadget - quick he going to overtake, jetison the boot !

Karl:
Doh ! What a missed opportunity at Brooklands.... :P

...could have won that  :D
