There is no point in two of us trying to sort the problem out, so I'll back off and leave it to Marty.

Av phun.  :)

Hi Karl - I may have been doing this a while but can sometimes get side tracked - your input is most welcome and always very accurate- Marty

Hi Marty,

thanks for the compliment, you make me blush. :-[

I prefer to conduct diagnostics by email, as with C5mike about 3 exchanges within an hour, it goes much quicker as almost no one sits at the computer all day.  Mind you with the present weather I'm here most of the day. ;D

Hi Mark,

just a closing shot to close this theme.

from the unofficial manual, referring to the LEDs in the pod:
Quote
The five equal incremental voltage steps span the nominal voltage range, 12.0 to 10.5 volts.

Cheers.

Karl.

Anyone tried these? http://www.ev-power.eu/Sinopoly-40Ah-300Ah/?cur=1 4 of the 40ah ones in series would weigh about 6kg and give one heck of a range... 160ah anyone?

Hi,

hate to bring you back to earth, but 4 x 3.6v @ 40Ah in series gives you 14.6v @ 40Ah, not 160. ;)

Two batteries in parallel doubles the capacity but not the voltage, two batteries in series doubles the voltage but not the capacity.

It would be great if your system worked, but.... :(

But all the same thanks for the tip.
