Motor Jammed
« on: 28, September, 2015 - 11:54:47 »
Hello there
A friend of mine has a C5 and whilst using it smoke started coming from the motor.

Took the gearbox off yesterday, that looks fine but the motor will not move.  Can they be rebuilt?  If so how much?

Does anyone have one for sale?

Thanks

Simon

Hi Simon it sounds like the motor has burnt out just check the bearing in the gearbox is free running .

  • You don't have to be mad to own a C5, but it helps

Hi,

with heat the magnets sometimes detach themselvs from the casing and end up jambing the motor. There's a couple of motors being offered on ebay at the moment
