How do you remove/replace the shaft bearing between the motor and gearbox ? Karl said Chas, you might have these in your parts department ?

Hi there Andy do you mean the two small one's at the end of the shaft that go inside the gear box ..??
-
No, I need to remove them both, the plastic cog and then the roller bearingwhich locates in the gearbox casing/housing.

Hi there Andy Regarding removal of the plastic cog They are very hard to remove the last one I did just got damaged and still refused to move ..It sounds like the bearing that is behind the cog has shot it ..There is no easy way of getting it of the shaft ..But if you do I have the bearings .
Sorry Chas

Andy - I have some spare armatures, would exchaning it be easier ? I have access to a hydraulic bearing press via a friend who works at a local garage. He uses it ,very carefully, to remove the bearings from the motor armatures and also the rear axles when needed.

Thanks, Chas & Karl I think I might go the exchange route, but I hate something get the better of me >:( I want to try, but don't like the thought of breaking it.
