Removing the back axle bearing

Hi, I need to replace the back axle bearing on the brake side can anyone tell me how this is done?

Hi there Paul .You find that they are very hard to remove unless you know someone that has a bearing press ..I have just done one myself but could not wait untill Monday so I used a hammer on it but I would not recomend it ....

Hi -I use a puller pullet but as Chas says a bearing press is best if you know simeone with one

I get mine done at a local garage where my mate works, he uses a bearing press

Hi, Thanks all for your help.... I'll put the hammer back and go around the local garages see if I can buy them a drink in return for the use of their press!

Hi don't forget You will have to go back to them to fit a new one when you replace the old one ...
