Sounds like a great weekend, except for the mishap, i must just say, that having had a brief go on Challenger, it is very easy for it to get away from you.
When i had that test Drive round the side roads Near Martys, i very nearly ended up as Carolyn.
Its easy to forget its not a standard C5
Hope she gets well soon, a real C5 legend, something to tell her Grand children
..Challenger was the faster one you had a go on at Santa Pod , I think it was "Voodoo" you tested at Marty's place ?
Either way you are right in that increasing the performance of our c5's does also increase the hazards - trikes just aren't that stable at the best of times . Remember Adam Harpers 150mph c5 ? During the early stages of that build he stacked it at 70mph so bad things can happen when you're having fun even with the best precautions in place
The guys at Prescott Hill said the same as coverman, once people go past the Finish line the concentration naturally drops after the intensity of focusing on the course.
All part of the learning curve (couldn't resist that pun...
) for us all I guess and highlights how incredibly lucky we've been so far. As Marty says, proper gear from now on
