Title: C5 battery voltages
Post by: wolfey on 21, May, 2013 - 19:35:25
Greetings all. I have had a C5 in my garage for a couple of years as a future project but now have it running. For now I am using lithium polymer 3 cell batteries giving a charged 12.5v. I would prefer to run 14.6v lipos as there would be less voltage drop under load.
By way of introducing myself , I am an airline pilot with several years of operating large ducted fan electric model jets. These run approx 36v lipo packs at around 90 amps current, approx 3000 watts.

If anyone has ideas to enable higher than 12v to run the C5, that is the way I would like to go.
