Title: Plastic inserts with metal tooth Pulley

Hi all .Just had some new inserts made out of the original Plastic insert and a metal toothed pulley
 Two of the plastic inserts where posted to me from members and I thank them .
If there are interested in buying one I will give them a discount  .
The inserts will be posted for sale on The Chas section later on...Take a look at the photo

Now that is a good use for some worn parts...some superb recycling  8)

The inserts have had the teeth cut off then drilled out . The metal pulleys have been cut down and made to fit a 18 mm belt and pushed in the insert , Then a hole is drilled and a pin pushed through ..making them very strong ....(You can see one of the pins in the first insert )
No more worn teeth .....
The next thing I will be doing is to have the 3 pins made up (the one's that the small cogs fit on) Also going to have at having the 3 small cogs made ....I have already had the the large cog made up out off aluminum.. Photo's to follow

Hi Chas - how about offering a repair service for peoples worn cogs ?

Thanks Yes you right I could offer a repair service but before that I need to put them on a C5 and just check them out ....I sure they will be up to it but I will test them out all the same ..And if it goes ok I will have more inserts made up for sale

As soon as they have been tested I will be offering an exchange service as long as it is only the teeth that are worn down ..

Hi there Lance the cost would be £38.00 + postage ...+ the old insert ....
