Pod problem?
« on: 24, November, 2011 - 16:43:27 »
I've only noticed this for the first time today when I first put the motor on (battery level on yellow indicator) - the motor load indicator goes into first red light briefly and at the same time the green light on the battery meter came on with it. Here's a quick video to show what I'm going on about (skip to around 12secs.)

Hi Kamilb,

Is the battery fully charged? If so then it looks like a loose connection either at the POD or control box, I have the same issue with one of mine and I have to give the connector at the back of the POD a push and it sorts it for a period of time.

As Lance says, that red connector wire between the pod and control box can be a real pain and is usually responsible for a multitude of indicated faults.

Try removing the connector from behind the pod and making sure there is no green corrosion on the pins.

Failing that send it to Radiomarty for a bench test  ;)

I'll have a look and repot back later today. Corrosion is a possibility as my C5 has only recently come out of a barn after 23 years.

Thanks both, I disconnected the red wire going to the back of the pod and there was loads of corrosion on the pins. I cleaned this off, reconnected the wire and the problem has gone.

Nice one, good to see it is the common issue like normal.
