Front tyre bargin - European chain OBI
« on: 23, January, 2013 - 12:29:44 »
Just found what I consider a front tyre bargain.

The local OBI (a German/European "B&Q" like chain) had in the "Bargain bin" the follow C5 sized front tyre for Sfr 4 (about £3).

It is not even a low pressure kids toy wheel, but a nice High pressure city bike wheel.

Branded "Deli Tire" and has nice tread pattern. I'd missed to boat on the c5alive "City Jet" favorites as no shop here stocked them any more (and postage from the UK meant I was only going to order them, if I really really needed them  ;) ).  Will report back on the ride quality once I'm back on the road in a month or two.

Pat

  • You don't have to be mad to own a C5, but it helps

Hi Pat,

one thing I found out about Obi, at my own expense, each centre is a self controlled unit, because 'A' has an item in stock 'B' may never have ordered this item and may well not do so.

Didn't know that - Thanks  - I knew that is how the likes of MediaMarkt worked, but not Obi in this case.
I which case the bargain is probably only limited to the Swiss stores or even just the Basel store - pleased with my find anyway  ;) :D
