Title: Needs a proper greasing..
Post by: Karl on 05, September, 2010 - 20:58:10
Here are some pictures showing the amount of grease found in a set of c5 rear wheel bearings. The c5 was removed ,unused, from the box by myself.

They weren't exactly generous with the grease on that Sinclair production line !

Would copper grease do or does it have to be standard grease?

No, Copper grease is for lubricating high temp parts such as break calipers, rear pads , exhaust manifaulds and wheel studs. its NOT for friction materials. copper grease when heated up forms a protective barrier/ film that will not was off under normal intended use.copper grease is an antiseize compound capable of withstanding high temperatures but its lubrication properties aren't the best. just use a universal grease , or best for bearings i would say Molly.
sure someone will say im wrong though. :P
