.
I'd love to have a copy of that, hopefully we can avoid a bidding war against other forum members - no idea how though :o
Hopefully the new owner will be happy for a few copies to be made :)
I would like the original, but will be happy if I can have a copy on disc, I'm not planning to place a bid myself
Retro Andy.
Perhaps if anyone on here buys it, they may be willing to share it by making copies for a cost? Perhaps it could be sold in the C5alive shop??
So I guess no one on here bought it ?
TWENTY QUID!!! :o :o
Still... great piece of history!
Karl is this not the same thing that I sent you as a C5alive promo DVD a while back ????
It starts with a load of suited bods standing round a fibre glass version of the C5, gives a look at the testing on the proto type, with a couple of teenagers riding round on them carrying out tests up and down a hill made of scaffolding.
dated 1984..
Is that the same ...

Afraid not :(

Hello Plod 11,
Nice that you are the one that has the tape, do you still have a video player?
If you digitalize the video and you make a QuickTime or AVI or .MOV from it, it is very easy to put it on https://wetransfer.com/. Everybody that pays you (by Paypal or bank) you just send the entercode of the moviepage and they can download it. It stays on wetransfer for two weeks and you can send files up to two Gigabytes. It is a free service.
I would like a copy but I don't have a video-recorder anymore. So that would be a great solution for me. ;)
Frank, the copy is on a DVD, not a vhs :)
Even better, will you put it on wetransfer.com for me?
Invite me and tell me how much I own you.(paypal) I live in Holland. So thats quite a hassle.
tnx
Frank
I will have a go, but not 100% how to change the format to upload ???
John I can probably take care of this mate if you want.
Zip the map with the file and upload
thats it
Frank
Just send the Video-ts map
That would be great, i am not sure where i would start :-[
Frank, ill encode to avi and upload it for you :)
Perfect, I found this site last week and it works great. You have to tell that it is for me (my emailadres) or however you want to share it with.
Let me know what you want for it?
Frank

If you put in the dvd in your computer. Stop the dvd player. Use your explorer to go to the DVD-drive.
Copy the Video-TS map to a place you can find back on your computer.
Upload the Video-TS map to https://wetransfer.com/
It is free. Then tell them your emailadres and the emailadres from the recipient. Thats it. You get a message a soon as I picked it up. You can send files or maps up to two Gigs this way. You can fill in as much recipients as you want. Perfect for sending manuals , foto's, films etc. After two weeks the file gets deleted on https://wetransfer.com/. As soon as you send a two gig file, you can sent a next one directly. It is newly limited to two gigs. They have some adverstisments on the background, but it is not pushy or disturbing.

C5 is my new hobby, computers where my work.
My copy arrived today, there's a superb looking dark blue/black C5 on it and also two proper battered ones that go up a steep scaffolding hill and then whizz down it. ;D
Big thank you to Plod for my copy - top stuff. Shame nobody seems to know where all those prototypes ended up.
Many thanks Plod, really kind of you :)

Hi Plod - thanks for heat gun (was at shop) sorry about the scary sight !!!!!!
Cheers , got mine . Fascinating stuff
Thanks
Kev
I noticed that the Lotus report on the C5alive DVD matches exactly with the video and seems to accompany it? It mentions the hill climb course, the testing and stuff like the scaffolding track.
