I'll be hosting another Crawley run on Sunday March 27th, meet at my place for around 1030am. It will be a circular route of about 11miles along some cycle lanes to the Crawley Leisure Centre ,then on to Tilgate Forest for a short break before taking a return route back to my place.
We do need to use some of the local roads to access the cycle lanes, but it's quite a pleasant route with only a couple of moderate hills to tackle.
Let me know if you're interested nearer the time :)
Voodoo has had a few mods and tweaks and I'll be using this run to test them out. Assuming it all goes well, Voodoo will be available for a couple of test rides on the day 8)
Karl,
Put me down for this one I'm sure I'll have it fully running buy then ;)
Cheers
Gary
Adding my name to the list. Maybe +1 (not sure)
Looking forward to our first run of the year 8)
If we can get up and running in time we would like to join in. If its all roads can i follow my son on a bike as he is only young and i cant expect anyone else be responsible for him. Ps please can you take a look at the problems we are having under the tech support section http://c5alive.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1693.0 as im having to learn very fast to get a chance of the first meet. Thanks......Brian
Put me down for this one Karl. ;D

That is good news, look forward to seeing you there as well as a few new faces 8)
Me and young Matt :)
I will be attending, will be nice to meet everyone face to face for the first time and to get some good advice ;D
I would also like to quickly try out someone else's pod on the day to see if my one is faulty if that would be ok with whoever is willing to :)
I am hoping to get along to this as well !!! ;)
John
I may not be able to attend this now as my son has just broken out in chickenpox :(
I have 1 question and update
Is the adress the same one as the one listed on the site homepage?
Also as my car aint big enough to fit my c5 without ripping everything out, my father has offered to drive to crawley as he has an estate car, thus meaning that he will be joining us all on his bycicle. I hope this is ok with everyone and im sure he will fit in as he is a electronics engineer and as a result he is intrigued by the electronics of the c5
i'm afraid i won't be able to make this one as i doubt i'll be able to get a new battery in time :-[
also peckishere i can probably lend you my pod for the entire run as long as you swing by my house to pick it up and drop/post it back :)
I also wont be able to make that run as work has changed my weekends around and i have ended up with a late turn ....
Good luck to all those attending and hope to get along to one of the others in the year.
John

Your dad is most welcome to join in :)
Change of plan, i can now come to this Yipeeeeee ;D ;D ;D
Can't wait to hear how the new 24v system holds up, Karl. Really hoping it's going to be available for sale before too long! 8)
As you can see from my project (in the gallery) I really need some new electrics. Oh boy do I need some new electrics...

Why not run it on just a relay, the ones I built for the Brooklands guys are still going strong and have even been loaned out to visitors with no problems.

A nice cheap and cheerful way of getting your c5 back on the road... 8)
Well that definitely looks like a neat and simple solution and it's something to consider. Having said that I haven't quite written off my electrics yet even though they look a mess. When I get a chance I'll delve into the control box to see if there are any horrors in there.
Longer term though I really have my heart set on a twin battery 24v setup.

I will not be able to make this one. Have a great time on Sunday and hope the weather stays good for you all. Kurt.
Just checking who's coming along , we need to avoid us setting off before everyone gets here ;D

Dont forget guys , the clocks go forward an hour on Saturday night
Should be a good run, the first of the year so guaranteed to have a few break downs etc etc ...can't wait ;D :D
Thanks for the reminder about the clocks going forward Karl. If I don't report for duty by 10.29am would you walk over the road and get me out of bed?! Ta. ;)

For a few ££££'s I could arrange for Angie to wander over ;D :o
Just for info, GrumpyGreenthing (Pete) will be providing the safety car...he'll be carrying a few tools and spares to help with any snags, and also provide transport back for any c5's that can't be fixed. Like the old military saying, we never leave a man behind :D
Karl
Bad news here ....
Not going to be able to make this now (after all the running around i have done to change shifts etc) Things have changed at short notice so not going to make it along.
Hope every one has a great day and that weather stays good, look forward to seeing and hearing about the day, take lots of pics.
Se you at the next one.
John
Sadly I have to work to - this work lark is now starting to interfere with my life >:( - hope you have a good run guy's and look forward to hearing about it - gutted we are not there !!
Hope you all have a great first run of the year, remember to post some pictures.
Retro Andy.
What an excellent start to this years events, the greatest surprise being there were no "surprises" - not a single breakdown or mishap. All went disgustingly well , so for the next run we might have to loosen a few wheel nuts or something to add a bit of drama ;D
It was nice to see some more new faces amongst the more familiar ones as its always reassuring to see the c5alive "family" growing :)
As usual, Angie and I didn't get round to taking many piccies but I'm sure a few of the others did and their piccies will follow soon.

A big thank you to everyone who came along ;D
Yeah great fun had by all ;D and the weather you could not ask for more.....
It was such great fun, weather was perfect and no break downs. I haven't found out a way of uploading my pics to the forum but I have a large amount of them anyway so it would take up too much space if I tried. Below is the link to my flickr photo-set of the day

Thanks to Karl for organizing the run and I would like to say thank-you to everyone for making me feel welcome and accepted ;D

oh and thank you for the 99 flake ice-cream whoever ended up paying for them :)
Some good piccies there mate, especially love the one that makes it look like we're all legging it to the car wash ;D
Had a really good day, especially as electricDave popped round for a coffee and a chat not long after everyone left :P What with my family and Scott dropping in for a visit as well it was a really nice sociable day 8)
I also have 2 small video clips, if anyone is making a video of the day they are welcome to have copies if they wish.
Looks like a brilliant day as usual, geat pics i look forward at getting along to the next one.
John
Looks like you had the sun shine on the first C5 run of the year, some great pictures of what looked to be a really good meeting, the hand car wash picture made me laugh ;D
