Just to add a bit of a change to the runs this year I am proposing to skip the M and M run until the following year an instead hold the first Northants run starting at our place in Thrapston date 22nd May - all those interested say I !!!!!
I say i :)
We should do another mk test run though, even if its just you, matt and myself one saturday or sunday
EYE ! ::)
I am up for an MK test run, need a bit of notice to arrange shifts etc...
I would like to join you if I can Marty, will let you know closer to the time :)
Retro Andy.
Hi Marty - good idea holding a run in Thrapston, once you're happy with the date let me know and I'll add it to the calendar and list of events.
Just a thought, have you considered holding it in April (23rd/24th ?) ? We've nothing shown for that month at all, and 22nd May is close to our Santa Pod event. Not a problem if you want to stick with may though ;D
Ok Karl lets go with the April date !

Ok Karl lets go with the April date !
All done - added to the calendar and the events list.
You might want to update this message with a meeting place and time etc nearer the date of the run.
It will be close to the Royal Wedding, should we all wear suits ?? ;D
I hope to get to this event, let me know your address . ;D
Hi folks - dropped a large one here as Carolyn and the boy's are away this weekend so I dare not go ahead with this date otherwise Matt will kill me - am proposing the following Sunday ie - May 1st - the run will be around Thrapston unless i can get a route sorted for the near by Stanwick Lakes which has cycle paths - watch this space - look fwd to seeing you all - Karl can you confirm date swap is ok ? bearing in mind the sat before's activities :)
Ray - will post full address meeting point near to date
http://www.stanwicklakes.org.uk/
All amended on the calendar and list of events ;)
Looking forward to it :)
I can confirm I will be attending and will be bringing a friend along :)
Getting a list together on this one now so far we have :
Mike plus 1
Retro Andy -tbc
Ray
Karl and Angie
Plod - tbc
Matt
Myself
We have two route options - The first is a countryside drive which is mine and Matts normal run -We normally do 6-7 miles but took the car out last night and clocked a 10 mile circular run - few hills but should be ok.
The second option is a cruise down some very flat but busy roads to Stanwick Lakes then cruise around there -Carolyn has agreed to meet us there with 'support Vehicle' which can carry your spares lunches etc or there is a cafe for those who want.
Either option is going to be a laugh and we are looking forward to meeting you all - meeting at our house around 10am
Andy do you have any batteries left and if so can you bring me one bud ? Cheers Marty
I can confirm i will be at this one.
John

Hi Marty I can get a couple of batteries if you want, we only have three left at work now, sorry but It don't look like I'm going to be able to get that day off and make your run the way things are going at the moment.

Took a run over to Stanwick Lakes today and checked with their ranger that it was ok to do a run - plan is to meet at our house then drive over there (10 min) - if we get the weather should be a hoot - some snaps of the route assault course half way round if anyone fancies it:

Looks like a really good venue mate 8)
Looks a great day out, hope the sun stays out for you, it looks a bit like the visitor's centre at Thetford forest, but we paid £6.00 to park there last week, but there's plenty for the kids (and dads) to play on, etc. Have a great day, I have to work later, but I am meeting up with another C5 owner today first, look forward to all the pictures.
Retro Andy.
Just back from a great run - most eventful - and a major roadside repair to Money pit exchange axle fitted !! by Karl - many thanks to all that came - photo's to follow once i've taken the wife out !!!
Another brilliant C5 run, thanks to Marty and the wife for the Breakfast.
Pics and some vodeo to follow .....

We had a great day - met at our place for brecky then on to Stanwick Lakes for the run - Once unpacked we stuck my trailer inside Karls bus ! and off on the run - Wouldn't be the same with out a challenge and Money pit decided to shed its drive belt early on - quick replacement from Plods spares and off we went - Due to the wind it turned a wee bit dusty and the c5's soon took on that off road look - then disaster a broken axle - rather than lose one of the c5's we decided to strip it down while i nipped home and picked up a spare - rebuild complete off we went on a great but dusty run !!! Not forgetting Goldfingers battery clamps falling off twice !!Sun held out and a great day followed by a bit of 24v volt testing to finish the day - thanks all for coming. Now off to sort Goldfingers battery clamps that just didn't want to stay attached !!!!!!
Thanks to Marty for arranging this superb run ;), but especially to Mrs Radiomarty for opening the c5alive cafe - superb butties 8)
Must say I was most impressed with the new "Radiomarty c5 courier service" .There can't be many vehicles out there that can have a rear axle delivered and fitted by the roadside ;D The invoice is on its way to "rentboy"Dave , I've decided to blame him for the failure mainly because he used "moneypit" last ,but more importantly because he wasn't there to defend his reputation :D. As for "moneypit", I think it was merely communicating to me it's need for a bit of servicing - thinking back I've fallen into the trap that because it's always been so reliable I've never looked after it. Shameful , especially as it was last properly serviced in 2006 and has since done virtually every c5alive run (including London-Brighton) :o
"Voodoo" on the other hand performed really well, I think the new gearing on the Dragon Technology gearbox & motor combo is spot on - the testing went very well and will continue at Santa Pod and a few other events before we're completely satisfied.
Good to see Ray and Plod joining in the fun as well, but best of all was seeing Mrs Radiomarty's "c5 grin" as she went whizzing by on "Voodoo".
A fab day out all round....no piccies though coz our camera also gave up the ghost - some days just don't go as planned :P
Hi guys, looks like you all had a good day, nice pictures. Shame it is to far for us.
regards Lance
Here are some more pics of the day ......
Including a couple of a couple of Volunteers who took a test drive in Voo doo and Money pitt (Sorry didn't get your names) but they looked liked they enjoyed every minute of it ;D
