Should provide another option for those that want to keep the originality of using the Sinclair keyswitch assembly. Looks very similar to the type 015 battery.

Its a 048 size battery. Bosch and Varta are the same company so the din code 545 077 030 matches a Bosch short code of S3016 which are about the £60 mark new.

Hi yes BooBoo you are correct is same floor print size but is 215mm high so with sinclair top it just fits. The benifit compare to the 015 battery which is only 36Ah compared with 45Ah of this battery.

Will update once tested.

Hi all,

Did about 5-6 miles including up some steep hills with my son on my lap and still had +85% of the battery left as stated on my Ring RSC8 smart charger. I recon you should get 10miles with single person and more on level terain.

Hi all,

Did a total just under 11 miles over 3 days without a charge. As living in Manchester its not flat so there are quite a lot of hills aswell.

Thanks for the update mate, that is good news for those wanting to keep the original look and have a battery that provides some decent range as well

I've just ordered a Bosch equivalent of this battery for £50 including P&P. I guess I'll need the leisure battery conversion kit (two clamps) to make the batery fit the Sinclair battery top?

Certainly do, the clamps are necessary to attach the Sinclair battery top to the top of the battery  ;D

Well, for some reason my order didn't succeed so I ended up going to my local car parts guy and ended up getting a 048 size Yuasa battery with a 2 year guarantee for £40. :D

Hi, Just remember that if you are using an original battery top you will have to cut it slightly so it fits. (The side resesses).
