I love the Bond Bug. Based on the reliant running gear the parts are so cheap to get from the reliant club, gearbox £50-£60 , engine £80-£100 , such cheap motoring. That little piago thing is just missing ' Noddy '.
I saw this at the weekend, i think its some sort of disabled transport.

I do like the bond bug myself, shame they cost so much :'(
Retro Andy.
The Bond Bug was another badly made British vehicle. Chassis rot endemic, overheating rife, hinges and mountings rotted within the shell bursting the fibreglass from within. Oh, and no accident protection to speak of during the inevitable roll.
but apart from all that it was quite good ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Having a ride in a Bond Bug should cure your mania completely; that is assuming you have any discernment whatsoever. A well made kit car can be purchased for
less than a restored Bond Bug can these days, and that will offer real performance, braking, roadholding in an SVA or IVA approved vehicle, with the degree of discomfort that you obviously crave.
I remember that episode of wheeler dealers, was so jealous of the guy that bought the Bond Bug off them .
Biggles - where is that piccie of all the bugs taken ? The scenery in nthe background is superb..maybe we should sort out a c5 meeting there and recreate that picture..

Mike Brewer is a legend :) Some great pictures
Retro Andy.
May look at a Bond Bug, seeing those photos has wet my appetite..................
How much are we looking at for a half decent one.
Lance
best technical h&s advice, as with the 'Del Boy' Reliant shape, when servicing one - do NOT drive it over an inspection pit! :o
I have had a few close calls i drive it hard and it sticks to the road somes times sticks to much but its different to drive to a robin ... a Robin is a lot higher and the Bug is low.. Its fun a laugh especially when you see peoples faces and where ever i go it turns heads..
fun with out going to fast..
