Title: Front wheel melting...
Post by: Karl on 21, April, 2012 - 17:25:01
Something for those new to the world of the Sinclair c5's. The plastic front wheels have been known to melt under heavy braking, eventually causing the rim to fail and allow the inner tube and tyre to come off the wheel.

The wheel picture here is about as close to that point as I have seen before complete failure  :o ;

...this wheel has since been replaced  ;)

The ware on the wheel look uneven (not central) this could be why it heated too much.......
