Sort of, the gearbox wouldn't go on again, so I popped in a bit of WD40 and the washing machine sound has gone! Also, so the pins mustn't have been aligned, by a gentle tap got the whole thing going round again, possibly better than new! Not tried it with the battery, would that be safe? (hooking the battery up to the motor directly?)

Hi Mark,

Yes putting a battery on the motor will be ok, as for the WD40 in the gearbox I'm not to sure about as they are meant to be greased.

If you are going to do the motor on battery thing, make sure you secure the motor as it will kick and spin on the floor.

Edit :-

Julia made me a C5 cake
