Brooklands Fun Day - Sat 13th June 2009
« on: 01, April, 2009 - 12:34:29 »
Brooklands Museum would like us to help out at this event ;

It was good to meet you yesterday and experience riding in a C5! Interesting machines and such fun!

As we discussed the Museum & Brooklands Trust members (BTM) are planning a joint event on the 13th June. Its late being organised because the event replaces the D12 that was recently cancelled. The idea is for the C5's to participate in a gymkhana along with bicycles and also (hopefully) micro cars & motor bikes.  During the day there will be various activities mainly for children up to the age of 12 such as 'rockets', gliders, parachute etc as well as a treasure hunt in the form of a quiz.

I am expecting the to event to start around 10.00 and finishing around 4 - but this is not confirmed as yet.

Be great to see you there! As soon as plans are firmed up I will send you more information.
Kind regards
Angela

I will be taking two C5's there, plus Steve has offered to come along with his C5 and help as well.

If anyone else would like to come along and help please let me know.

The tickets to allow us free entry will be posted the week before, so I tend to have them all sent to my address and issue them to those that arrive on the day.

For us, the event itself will consist of a static display where we can show our C5's , plus a demo area (usually called the "playpen") set aside for people to try a C5.  My plan is for "Dave" to be used for this, I wouldn't expect anyone else to allow everyone to use their C5. You will be allowed to ride your own C5 around the playpen area - I expect the set up to look similar to that seen in the Brooklands Centenary Test Hill event. I will be taking the mini-el along as well.

I'm hoping we can get about 12 c5's there if possible, so if you can make it you'll be most welcome  :)

There is an outside power point top allow us to charge batteries if necessary.

I will have to contact Adam about a couple of items to take along for me, you get that "big kid" feeling when getting bits for your C5, like when your ten spending your pocket money in a toy shop.
