I've had a couple of Grifters myself, the red one was given to my brother as a Christmas pressie and the silver one was passed on to retroAndy;

We've a couple of events coming up that would be ok for Grifters to join in , see if you can persuade a few to tag along . Now that would make an interesting sight  ;D

Wow... Now there's a thing of beauty.  :D

Takes me back to my youth! I had a red Grifter back in the early eighties. I used to go everywhere on that bike! I have to say though it wasn't in as good condition as this one.  ;) It had a big chunk missing out of the foam seat and I used to fold the back mudflap onto the knobbly tyre so it sounded like a motorbike as I went down the road.
God, these bikes were so heavy - I remember struggling up hills on mine, fiddling with the 3 speed shifter.

Happy days!

C.

You forgot to mention finding slip gear while riding standing up :) ,

Retro Andy

You are not far away from some of us then blingdaddy, I live in Kings Lynn and their are several
C5 owner's in the area, like Karl said it would be a great thing to see a load of C5's and grifters all together sometime, I will be holding another royal run in june which we go from mine to sandringham, any chance that some grifter folk would like to join in ? We can switch rides along the way maybe.

Retro Andy.

blingdaddy

If I ever get left with eBay option it will be a strip down sale of parts :( ,
