** SOLD ** Recently restored C5 for sale in Wirral (£340)

Hi all,

It's with great regret (and a bit of pressure from my wife) that I have to put my C5 up for sale in order to fund some home improvements. It's had a full strip down and rebuild including the following items:

- Chassis, forks & rear A frame have been sand blasted and powder coated in their original colours.
- All bearings cleaned, regreased and renewed where necessary.
- All original electrics cleaned, checked and working great.
- New Schwalbe tyres & inner tubes all round.
- New brake cables and front brake blocks.
- Motor & gearbox stripped, cleaned & regreased. New main gearbox bearing fitted.
- Cycle computer fitted for speedo / odo. It's detatchable but it does not obscure the battery LEDs on the pod.
- C5alive wiring kit fitted enabling the use of any car or leisure battery and includes reverse polarity protection.
- C5alive anti-chain bounce off bracket fitted to the tensioner.
- Brand new 18mm drive belt.
- Original Sinclair rear mud flaps.
- Super bright LED headlight and tail light bulbs.
- Lockable boot lid with key included.
- New decals/stickers throughout.
- New chain fitted.

Although my old lead acid battery has finally died a horrible death, the C5 can be demonstrated working using a jump lead from my car or the buyer could bring along a working battery if they want a test-run. It has been driven less than 10 miles since restoration but it drives great.

Please note though that the mud flaps, cycle computer and front wheel cover were fitted after the video was made.

The price I'm asking is £340 ovno. This is quite a bit less than I ended up spending on this C5 but hey... Story of my life 
It's located on the Wirral (Merseyside) so would need to be collected from there as I have no way to transport it.

Yeah, I know Lance. I'm really not very happy at having to sell the C5 because it's a really fun and quirky thing to own but that's the way the cookie crumbles unfortunately.

If I win the lotto, the advert will definitely be cancelled though

Paul (a friend of mine) & I will set out from Merthyr Tydfil in the early morning tomorrow in the copen, hoping for some fine weather to drop the roof, but a road journey through Wales without a downpour is highly unlikely..........Hopefully do something touristic before lunch & hit the Wirral sometime after 2:30.

I've been to view Scubachris's C5 & she is a beauty, and has been a real labour of love you can tell. I've bought more locally for financial reason's as I've a tiny car and would have required me hiring a van & a trip from London to the Wirral and back. However, I really think it's worth taking a look at because he's done a smashing job. Good luck with your search and let us know how you get on! Neil

Unfortunately I have no way of delivering it as I only have a Fiat 500 and there's no way it will fit, even with a crowbar and a tub of vaseline. 

Pity really because I regularly drive past Bangor on the way to Llanberis.
