Forum will be down for a short time

Just to let you guys know that the forum will be down for a short time tomorrow.

Won't be long depending on how fast our internet connection is running tomorrow. But just so you don't get worried when you come here. Will try and have it back up for the evening.

If you need a hand let me know. I wasnt able to put full time in to do the complete overhaul, but I do have a *very* speedy connection

Also I am very good at importing / transfering data if you were looking at changing forum software and want to preserve everything in a new format.

Liam has done lots of forums but the guy who is doing most of the work, TJ hasn't done a forum before.

We're moving to PHPBB which should be a bit more stable and easier to use but the shop and site will be custom.

Ah good. is there a converter for SMF -> PHPBB?

I've never had major success with either but I am good at doing the import myself.

We had a chat and we decided to upgrade the current version of SMF - I'll be customising the theme a bit soon too.
Apparently PHPBB suffers from spambots a lot.

It's just the old one upgraded and I will simplify and make the theme more 'C5' stylee!

Yeah me too - but apparently they are hard work to manage with all the spam attacks - Didn't want to make life hard for Karl.

you know me so well  I love the new look of the forum, makes everything seem a lot more up to date .

I'm still having to push F5 on my keyboard to get the forum displayed though, is this something on the fix list for the new site ?

Seems to be a hosting issue because we can't find a problem with the forum (yet).

Mostly likely that the server is dropping the connection
