Hello guys, hopefully someone can advise.
I was driving the c5 and all perfect, suddenly the motor just stuck on and I had to press the ignition red release button to cut power.
Had to use ignition switch to get home etc.

All standard c5 wise, pod all working and still shows a normal display. Presumably relay issue? But hopefully someone has seen thus issue and can advise a quick resolution!?

Thank you, paul

Sounds like the relay contacts have welded themselves together.

A 70A 12V relay may be required!

Cool, I will certainly look for this for sure. I'm hoping theres an easy answer but suspect a new relay to be soldered in!
Hopefully I can check the other pages on here to get the new part number and get ready to order it if needed!

Cheers

Karl

I'm sure you've checked, but the handlebar micro switch hasn't got stuck " in" has it ?

POZE

Hello
No, not the micro switch, checked all that. Probably a dodgy relay im guessing!
If anyone else has any info, its much appreciated , otherwise i will hope to take a look this weekend!
Cheers,

Hi Pose - if D1 in the control box is faulty the relay can 'arc' during operation causing the relay contacts to gradually fail and 'weld' together - put a meter across your relay contacts (the two large one's) to see - you can clean them up if they are not too bad. (also renew D1 IN5401)
