Hi Everyone, Fitted the refurbed motor tonight and re-assemble the drive belt/pulley....but i need to tension the drive belt.
I can see the motor is on a "concentric" but is there a way to establish the correct belt tension ???
I have searched the site but all the thread are about belt slip and the motor falling of the fence not about how much or little tension to apply to the belt?

Hi there here is a page out of the user manual ...

Sorry to bring an old thread back from the dead, but I could really do with some help with this.

C5 number 1 is slipping like mad at the moment. I understand about rotating the motor (presumably towards you), but all this seems to do is end up turning the wheel... so am I being dumb here? Is it something daft that I've overlooked?  ::) Tension at the moment is very slack... probably about a 5mm deflection, so I really need to try and figure this out. Incidentally, C5 number 2 has a brand new belt but again I can't seem to work out how to tighten that one fully either...
