I think you missed the cheeky part, "Collection only".

This is obviously a sneaky way of advertising an article and getting round paying the ebay fees.

When you think about it there's probably more C5 unwanted bodies available than any other spare part, so I don't consider the sacrifice of a couple of bodies to be a sin. But where does the £3,000 come in? If he's really paid out this kind of money, then more fool him and anyone who makes an offer.

But all said and done it's not my cup of tea. And talking about tea, I'm off to make one. Bye.

I agree with 99% of what you've said there Karl, except for one thing. Bodies are ten a penny, there are far more than could ever be restored, but it's not just bodies he's used. Look at the Pod, front wheel cover, indicators, loom, etc etc that enthusiasts and restorers are so desperate for to keep these machines on the road, and then take another look at it. The bodies themselves are irrelevant, the fact is that there are far more bodies around than parts to go on them.

I know and I don't agree with what he's done. There again I don't like to see anthing thats good being destroyed for the sake of entertainment be it a house, a car, a C5 etc. But, thats only me, each and everyone has their own taste.

Ok ok so this chap has cut a couple if C5's up. It could be worse. There does seem to be a few on eBay.

Do we know why, what was his idea and concept?

It's a stunning thing all the same. Just my opinion.

One thing I did find funny about it was in the description saying "Nobody got it"... Really? Nobody 'got' the original C5 either which is why they're so rare now... Maybe he should have thought about that before cutting up two of Sir Clive's finest

I just hate artists in general... once in a while you see something and think ' Hey, that's clever!' but when you take something rare and irreplaceable and hack it to bits to make a sculpture that's where I draw the line lol!
