Does anyone know what happened to the Black JPS C5's ?

Karl

This was asked on the previous version of c5alive's forum.

These JPS c5's look really cool, but sadly seem to have disappeared.

I reckon they are probably stored somewhere and have been forgotten about  :(

there's 2 in the picture, i'd guess they adorn an office or showroom somewhere, superb talking point  now just how much were those 2 'basket case' C5s going for on Ebay?  8)

Never seen them before, they are cool, will ask as Lotus the next time I go to Norwich, you never know what someone might know.

I haven't a clue what's happened to them.  Perhaps they're in the same warehouse as the Monster Munch costumes that no-one can find!

I found a website which I beleive may now own the JPS brand.  There's a media contact there if anyone would like to try their luck at emailing them to ask where their JPS C5's are?  http://www.imperial-tobacco.com/index.asp?page=98

Must say though, they looked cool.  Very glossy!

Shame Adam's not on email.  Would be great if he were able to use this forum wouldn't it, then we coul've asked him!

The ultimate would be for them to re-appear at C5-25

Motorsport C5's at Brooklands museum - a tasty prospect  8)

i'd be happy to try and contact them but imo it would have far more authority if Karl as the site owner and/or C5Martin were to ask, as they are the main reason why the C5's are still around and in some numbers.

Cor blimey.  I read the bit about the red foam...  Cutting yourself just under the eye??  Doesn't sound possible.

Is it possible???

I love the spoiler  ;D

..shame it is only a replica of the JPS c5's  :(

It reminds me of one of the C5's at the 2008 Wales meeting. The guy had taken apart a kiddies pedal car and put on the racing spoilers etc onto his c5. Looked quite funky  :D

be brilliant to fit a moving spoiler based on the Porsche's  8) - above 5 MPH up it pops, above 10 MPH fully extended  ;D.

what about some down force 'wings' for the front? all we then need is a bucksom young lady stark..... but perhaps i'm wondering (oh! ok wishing  ::))

the hazard of the body making contact with a face in an accident, a foam buffer (made perhaps from foam pipe lagging) imo would be a well worthwhile safety mod - if only to stop me swallowing it whole  :D.

Those are the same piccies that are featured in the May edition of Classic and Sports car  8)

In the magazine it says Colin Chapman's son still thinks he has one of them tucked away in a warehouse somewhere.

It would be so cool if he got round to digging it out and getting it up and running again.
