I have just picked up a C5 from Reading to day it's not working and will need a lot of work doing to it. Pics will follow soon.
There's bound to be a ton of questions I'll have to ask as me and my dad have never striped down a C5 :-[
The body shell is in great condition but the rest is not
A bit dark :-[ :-[

Hopefully it should turn out great.
I'll test to see if the pod works when I bring my C5 back round my house tonight. ;) ;)
The seller says the electrics don't work and there's so much rust you can't peddle it. The original tiers are split :-\ :-\
Also comes with all the paper work

That rust is like a work of art! Don't fix it, hang it on your wall!
A very savable C5 - look forward to the progress on this one - any question's fire away :)
I have just connected the pod onto my other C5 and it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As it has sat out side in all weathers it's done quite well :D :D

Thanks BooBoo ;) ;)
My first question. How do you take the body off the C5, I know that there is 2 screws behind the rear light, there's one just in front of the peddles and there is a screw where the battery goes. The handle bars and peddles have to come off. Is there any thing I have not mentioned could you please tell me or if there is something I have said that is wrong mention it please. I can't wait till I have the body off then I can have a proper look at the chassis and start work on it.
Thanks,
Can't wait to hear from you

There is a write up on the forum by C5 Martin telling you how to remove the body in detail, it's in the link below.

Hi there Luke it looks neglected but it is in restoration condition and I'm sure it will come out great .Another C5 will be saved from the dump...
When you look at it it dose not look too bad. The metal bar behind the seat, the rust looks quite bad. I'll have to see what I can do with it, if not I'll have to buy another one from somewhere. That motor I bought from you I may fit it to this C5 and regress the one that is already on there. ;) ;)
Hi you may find that Karl may have one of the back bars for sale ...???? ;)
I'll have to have a look at it and if the rust is that bad I'll have to get another one. ;) ;) ;)
As you can see the stickers will need replacing as well

Chas is right I've got a couple of those going spare, let me know if you need one ;)
I'll be taking a closer look at it tomorrow night. :)
I've almost taken every thing off the chassis apart from the chain tension.
I'm hopping to start work on it soon as I have not done anything on it for a wile. :) :)
Started sanding the chassis
(http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag126/Luke20008/DSCN0392_zps29d71b8f.jpg)
Where the dark spots (on the left hand side) are that is where the rust has eaten its way into the chassis.
not bad for a person like me ;D ;D
Well done Luke - keep the photos coming :)
I've completed the top and bottom it's just the sides I need ti sand now ;)

..a good effort, but I must admit I found it too time consuming so I always get my chassis' shot blasted. It gives a nicer finish for a lot less elbow grease :)

My dad is hoping to get it sand blasted using his one. As you say it is very time consuming doing it by hand :)
We had ago with the sand blaster last night and the sand was not abrasive so I'll have to get more sand and give it another go.
We have put some more sand in and hoping to have another go tonight :)
I have not done some for a wile so I thought I better do some
