I went along to the CSMA day at Thruxton Race Circuit to watch the truck racing ,as well as the various classic saloon car races . It was really cool watching the RS2000 Escorts mixing it with Rover 220 Tomcats, Golf GTi's , Rover SD1's and older BMW 325i's etc etc ,not to mention the seeing the Mini's in action.

It was excellent mate, all those cars that I remember wanting to buy as a spotty youth were all there on the track - Capri's , RS2000's, Golf GTi etc.

What was really amazing were the single seater race cars , really fast and competitive racing and the winner was a lad aged 15 years old ! He wasn't old enough to legally drink the winners bottle of champagne. Sadly, despite all his obvious talent he is still struggling for sponsorship !!

I like that Talbot Sunbeam and that dolly sprint too. Always nice to see the minis as well.

Some nice looking cars there  :)
I used to own an original RS2000. Great fun ;D

What's that hiding under the umbrella ? It looks like an engine with wheels  :D
