What a good idea

Found this on ebay and thought what a good idea, we have mentioned on the forum before about a trailer for a C5, but the down side it is extra weight and would slow you down. So why not a trailer that you can carry a small tent, pots and pans etc and let the trailer help you along, and it even matches the colour of the C5 frame and the wheels look very similiar ?

Also Karl, if the tyres are able to do the speed they claim it might be worth finding out if you can get them for the C5

..I'm hoping to have some news on the tyre situation soon   ;)

Of course using such a trailer would not comply with regulations here, and anyway the C5 brakes would need beefing up to cope with extra weight.

Very good idea, my only concern are the 1500W. I think it is too powerful and will cause a wheelspin, if the trailer
is not heavy enough. My camping equipment for a weekend trip has a weight of about 7 kilos and wouldn´t be
enough to get the performance onto the road. My next winter project will be a 250W wheel-hub motor for my trailer.

I was thinking about making a 250W one of these.

What kind of speeds do you think it'll do?

Retro Andy

It states 20 to25 mph, the extra shoove would be good  :)

Nice- Quite expensive for a crate with a motor attached though. Sure one could be built for about £150
