C5 ENTHUSIAST + RESTORER

Hi there as it has been said the bits that go into the poles are short as with most of them the break off .If you don't not have one that has been damaged let me know ..and you would have to the remould it with the longer pole inserts ...
Give me a ring .

What I would try is to insert a small nail into the mould to strengthen the pole inserts ..

Interesting, I assumed they were the length they came as it sits in the poles well! Does anyone have a photo of a complete one? I've been talking to my wife and because it's going to need a completely new mould we're going to have a try at indicators next before working on the flag again, for the simple reason that they should sell far better and bring in money to pay for the rest of them :-) Plus, it caused a problem moulding a flat shape, indicators should be far easier!

Hi there Danny take a look at this photo ..
Bye Chas

That is about the length of mine

Quick curiousity... I think I was lucky that my first C5 had the plugs that fit in the holes to support the masts in place because it seems my other one doesn't have them. Did they come with the original kit? Any ideas how to replicate them?

I think Chas made some of those,  8)

If this is what you are talking about, I bought some not that long ago  ;) ;)

I think he talking about the "TOP HAT" plastic fitting thats sits in the frame.  I might be wrong  :-\

danny7147

Let me explain. I've got two C5's. On one, the masts fit perfectly in the holes, on the other they drop straight through. What's the bit that the first one has in the holes?

PLOD11

No sure what the technical name is but if you take it out it looks a top hat, chas did make some of these a while back. It would be fitted to the C5 at the factory.

I'll have to find out... The second mould's nearly halfway done so should, with luck, have first flag made early next week!
