Just spotted that  :o

Don't know how realistic this quote is:
' Heavily modified C5 reached a top speed of 150 miles per hour (240 km/h) and accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds '

Although if it's true, that's bonkers, as I don't think i'd fancy that speed on those tyres  :o

Actually you'd struggle to get it moving at all seeing as it has a seized engine ;-) Going back to the speed thing though, I notice it doesn't say it it was THAT C5 that did that speed... Or exactly what it won at Silverstone...

minidaz

I've driven one of Chas's petrol C5's and that only did about 30mph, which was plenty  ;D ;D

I guess you could put a lot bigger engine in ( Chas's used go ped type engines i think ) but I would have thought without a lot of bracing / strengthening, it would rip a flimsy C5 body apart.

Ah, but this isn't a Chas one we're talking about here, this is a FERRARI C5... Apparently ;-)

Imagine that  :o :o :o Doing 150 mph would fell like the kph speed in mph  :o :o :o

It was the only one that Ferrari made  ;D

If Ferrari made it it would probably have a Supercharged V12 in it ::) ;D

What would the wind on your face do to your face. Deform it defiantly

C5 ENTHUSIAST + RESTORER

Regarding the petrol C5s that I build have 49cc midi bike engines fitted . And can reach about 30/35 mph but anything faster than that you would have to reinforce the whole C5 ..or it would just disintegrate .

I think this was simply a reference to Adam Harper's 150mph Sinclair C5, not a claim that this one can do 150mph.

minidaz

That would make more sense, although doens't really fit in with the advert as that one didn't even use an engine  ;D

Go on, someone bid ... i want to see it burning down the strip at Santa Pod  ;D

Who is this Adam Harper man  ???

minidaz

A bit of a God in C5 circles, although not been on the scene for a while.

He built a C5 that was capable of 150mph, and still kept it electric.
