Hi all Sinclair C5 fans,

Today I just acquired two Sinclair C5's, one is absolutely amazing condition and all original! The other is also fantastic condiition, but needs the battery wires etc reconnecting.

Can I ask for any help out there on this subject as I know how easy these Sinclairs are to fry and I have been told it runs fine when connected so I would like to keep it that way!  :)

I have all the original C5 power pack lid and key switch / contact cover but no battery at present.

Is it okay to install the orginal fittings with a leisure battery (51/56 Ah) or do I have to get a car battery at the correct size? If so what type?

I have included pictures for reference, please anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Richard

Hi there, if you need some assistance, in Holland, I live in Zutphen, Gelderland, I have a few, different set-ups in four different C5's.
Totally original, original without Pod or controlle box but with a relais, a modified original C5 with 7 gears on the pedels and handthrottle, and at last, but not least, I have a 750 watts scootmobile version.
Feel free to ask if I can help,
And welkom to the forum.
